single visatec 600w/s strobe @ 1/2 power through a 3’x4’ softbox, up 13’ directly in front and above the band.

This shot (you can see the rest in my portfolio) is to promote a music video I’m directing and shooting next month.
Strobist:
1x Portaflash 330 head through 32inch silver umbrella camera left aimed down, 1x YN460 Speedlite bare camera right and behind. Triggered with Cactus V4 and the slave of the YN.
Here’s a promo image I put together for a local singer/songwriter named Evan Cole, who will be releasing his new EP in January 2012. It’s a composite of 3 images, and was shot in my studio against a gray background using a 3-light setup (2 gridded softboxes on the side for rim, and a beauty dish overhead as key).
